Latest Company Updates:
June 2023- Advent Technologies Holdings, a leading fuel cell systems company, has recently announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a prominent player in auxiliary power systems and turbojet engines, Safran Power Units. With the use of the proprietary Ion Pair Membrane Electrode Assembly (MEA) technology by Advent, the expertise and potential of Safran Aerospace, the latest partnership is likely to push the growth of the next-generation high-temperature proton exchange membrane (HT-PEM) fuel cell technology, particularly engineered to be used in the aerospace sector. HT-PEM allows highly effective heat management contrasted with low temperature-PEM (LT-PEM). The system is being highly adapted for various applications needing high amounts of power along with strong integration restrictions, such as aviation. HT PEM is stronger and can tolerate severe environments like pollution and extreme temperatures than LT-PEM. The partnership is backed by a robust research consortium such as Safran Tech, the French Alternate Energies and Atomic Energy Commission, the IMDEA Energy Institute, the University of Strasbourg, the French National Centre for Scientific Research, and the Fraunhofer Institute. The Ion Pair MEA technology by Advent caters to the establishment of these developments. Advent was chosen as the commercial partner for a new HT PEM technology founded by US Department of Energy scientists at Los Alamos National Laboratories.
