Oct 2023- Teledyne Technologies Incorporated's Teledyne FLIR Defense has introduced its Black Hornet® 4 Personal Reconnaissance System (PRS). Black Hornet 4, which improves on its predecessor to provide small units with improved covert situational awareness, is the next generation of lightweight nano-drones. An upgraded 12-megapixel daylight camera with exceptional low-light capabilities and a new high-resolution thermal imager provides the operator with clear still and video photos. The Black Hornet 4 weighs only 70 kilos and can fly for over 30 minutes in gusts up to 25 knots. Its range is over two kilometers. An upgraded battery and improved obstacle avoidance capabilities have improved flight performance. Since launching its Soldier Borne Sensor program five years ago, the U.S. Army has ordered Black Hornets for a total of more than $125 million. The Army gave Teledyne FLIR a five-year agreement in July that may total up to $94 million for further Black Hornet devices.
Feb 2023-Â On Monday, Tata Consultancy Services declared that it has increased its cooperation with Keysight Technologies, one of the top technological companies in the US. This is TCS's second big deal of the month, albeit the press release did not specify how big the deal was.
