Latest Intraocular Lens Companies Update
Nov 2023: One of the biggest providers of contact lenses worldwide, Bausch + Lomb, is a company that makes eye health products. It recently released an update on its recycling initiatives. Through its ONE by ONE and Biotrue Eye Care Recycling initiatives, the business has gathered 76,645,000 million units, or 464,100 pounds, of discarded contact lenses, eye care products, and lens care materials in the United States. Since most contact lenses, eye care products, and lens care materials are too small to be handled by standard recycling methods, most of them wind up in landfills and waterways. According to the firm, every year, between six and ten metric tons of contact lenses find their way into wastewater. More than 76 million previously used blister packs, contact lenses, and top foils have been collected since the ONE-by-ONE recycling initiative was introduced in November 2016. Those wearing contact lenses and eye care professionals can participate in the scheme; over 14,000 eye care practices have registered as official recycling sites.
Sep 2023: HOYA Vision Care, a leader in ophthalmic lens technology, has announced the launch of Super HiVision® MeiryoTM EX4TM anti-reflective treatment in the United States. As patients and eye care professionals have come to expect, the new lens treatment provides industry-leading scratch-resistant resilience and long-term cleanability in addition to full back-side UV protection.List of Intraocular Lens Key companies in the market
