Latest Company Updates:
October 2023:Â In addition to their first commercial product, the B-TRAN bidirectional semiconductor power switch, Ideal Power has released the SymCool IQ Intelligent Power Module. The SymCool IQ power module incorporates a bidirectionally optimized intelligent driver into the existing bidirectional B-TRAN multi-die packaging architecture of the SymCool power module. The 1200V and 160A SymCool IQ provides several advantages over IGBT modules, including as reduced losses and built-in bidirectionality. Increased energy savings, reduced product running costs, and dramatically reduced thermal management needs all translate to smaller, cheaper products for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) that include SymCool IQ into their designs.
February 2023:Â The new SLIMDIP-Z power semiconductor module from Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, with an exceptionally high 30A rated current, is scheduled for introduction in February 2023. Specifically, the tiny module will allow the SLIMDIPTM series to simplify and downsize systems for multipurpose and complex items like air conditioners, washing machines, and refrigerators, allowing it to fulfill a wider variety of power and size demands for inverter units. Power semiconductors that can effectively convert electric power to assist bring about a low-carbon world are in high demand. With a transfer-mold construction that includes a switching device and a control IC to drive and safeguard the switching element, Mitsubishi Electric introduced the first DIPIPMTM to the market in 1997 as a high-performance intelligent power module. Since then, DIPIPMs have found widespread application in inverters for industrial motors and other big appliances, reducing board size and improving efficiency.
