July 2023: Plans to purchase Palette Life Sciences, a company that produces a range of gel-based treatments for the treatment of urological problems, were revealed by Teleflex. With an initial payment of $600 million, the vascular device producer intends to treat additional reproductive and urinary tract disorders with Palette's portfolio. According to a release from the firm, Palette is expected to increase Teleflex's sales by $56 million. Although Teleflex creates a variety of gadgets, its vascular goods, such as catheters, generate the greatest revenue. The UroLift device, which treats enlarged prostates, is the only urological treatment that the company provides. Palette is set to add five treatments based on hyaluronic acid, a pliable substance designed to have a longer half-life in the human body.

Aug 2023: The French multinational company Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics, at the core of the PFAS scandal in New Hampshire, has declared its intention to shut down its Merrimack operation. The sudden statement was made less than a week after Saint-Gobain was granted a fresh five-year operating permit by the state's Department of Environmental Services, a move that was met with strong opposition from locals, government representatives, and environmentalists. As part of a "consent decree" reached with the state, Saint-Gobain has been giving about 1,000 properties long-term clean water solutions. According to DES, Saint-Gobain was also anticipated to start building municipal water connections in Bedford and Merrimack this fall and in the spring of 2024.
