The advantages of the portable spirometer were evident in a real test of EasyOne Air's ability in demanding field situations, where a sample of freedivers produced reliable and consistent findings. In the sport of freediving, divers descend to as low as 100 meters while holding their inhalation for three to four minutes at a time. Freedivers run the danger of developing pulmonary edema, decompression sickness, and lung barotrauma due to the intense nature of the sport.
