The first-ever F-150 Lightning electric pickup truck is among the 2021–2023 Ford F-150 pickups for which NRS Brakes has added brake kits. The brake kits come with abutment hardware, calliper piston cushions, and the company's premium galvanised brake pads for both front and rear application on the nearly 1.6 million vehicles covered.
Since electric vehicles like the Lightning rely less on hydraulic braking than vehicles with internal combustion engines, the galvanised steel at the core of all NRS Brakes pads helps provide longer life, which is advantageous for all applications.
The patented NRS friction-attachment technology is used in galvanised steel. Brake pads that last longer, are safer, and quieter as a result. The backing plates made of galvanised steel outlast the friction.
