Battery assembly for Volkswagen AG's next-generation electric car platform will be provided by Hyundai Mobis.
In a new factory in Spain that is close to a Volkswagen assembly plant, Mobis will construct the battery assemblies.
The high-capacity battery system assembly provided by Mobis combines the battery pack and battery management system with additional electrical parts, including the integrated charging control units and electric drive units, which form the backbone of EVs. Hyundai and Kia's parts and servicing division is called Mobis. The company manufactures automotive components in factories in Alabama, Michigan, and Ohio.
Together, Xpeng and Volkswagen will create two battery-powered automobiles for China that will be marketed under the Volkswagen name and constructed on Xpeng's G9 EV platform. The businesses anticipate that production will begin in 2026.

In Delhi, India, a 10 MW Battery Energy Storage System from AES, Mitsubishi, and Tata will be put into service. Mitsubishi Corporation and AES will jointly own the 10 MW grid-connected system. The Advancion lithium-ion storage technology for the project was provided by Fluence, a provider of energy storage technology that is owned by Siemens and AES.
With the use of battery-based energy storage projects, electricity may be gathered, stored, and then released on demand in milliseconds, lowering the instability of the electric grid. It is anticipated that it will provide the two million customers served by Tata Power-DDL with grid stabilisation, peak load control, added system flexibility, increased reliability, and protection of crucial facilities.
The main difficulties in managing peak loads, system flexibility, frequency regulation, and network dependability will be addressed by this, India's first grid-scale battery-based storage system.
