The acquisition comprises an authorized cell bank necessary for the GMP-compliant production of EpiDex®, an autologous epidermis made from the patient's hair cells, Healiva's initial cell therapy product. No financial information has been made public. Healiva offers a wide range of wound care products, including EpiDex. These products cover the entire wound healing process by combining cell therapy, medical devices, and enzyme technology. The 60 million people worldwide who suffer from chronic wounds, including venous leg ulcers, now have access to novel treatment options thanks to EpiDex. This load is increasing due to the aging population and the rising prevalence of metabolic illnesses.
