    • Oct 2023: A new worldwide diabetes care company, Ascensia Diabetes Care, and Senseonics Holdings, Inc., a medical technology company that develops and produces long-term, wearable continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) systems for individuals with diabetes, have joined forces to launch a marketing and advertising campaign in the United States for the Eversense® E3 CGM System. With its unique CGM option, Eversense E3, which is well suited to support the daily lives of individuals with diabetes, is set to become widely known thanks to the "CGM for Real Life" campaign. For a variety of reasons, including sensor peeling off before anticipated wear time or a dislike of having anything affixed to their body, many diabetics take extended hiatuses from their CGMs. Since its sensor lasts six months, Eversense E3 is the longest-lasting CGM on the market.

    • Oct 2023: Sanofi, a French pharmaceutical company, announced that it proposes to split off its consumer health segment, most likely through a spinoff, to concentrate more on developing innovative drugs and vaccines. While considering its alternatives for the possible separation, Sanofi stated that a "capital markets transaction" to create a French-based, separately listed business would likely be the course of action. The transition might take place as early as 2024's fourth quarter. According to Sanofi, the proposed listing would take place at the right time to maximize value creation for shareholders, which stated that it would not occur until the fourth quarter of 2024. On any proposed arrangement, Sanofi stated that it would confer with workforce representatives. The news follows the larger consumer rival Kenvue's separation from Johnson & Johnson earlier this year and following the creation of Haleon by GSK and Pfizer in 2022.
