Manitex International Inc., a significant global supplier of truck cranes, specialized industrial equipment, and construction equipment rental solutions to the infrastructure and construction markets, launched the new TC850 Series truck-mounted crane on the first day of CONEXPO-Las Vegas.
The TC85159 will have an 85-ton base rating at a 10-foot radius and a 5-section, proportionally expanded boom that is 159 feet long. The optional 2-piece, 30 to 60-foot bi-fold offset lattice jib will increase the tip height of the boom to 228 feet. Steel erectors and other high-duty cycle applications where manufacturing work is crucial will find the newly formed boom design intriguing since it will offer outstanding relative stiffness in extended-reach applications.Â
The 85-ton high-reach truck-mounted crane has brand-new outriggers that do not require a front jack. Manitex seeks to create new, greater capacity cranes that are suitable for a number of market applications and that provide the advantages of crane solutions when combined with a commercial chassis as opposed to the conventional truck-mounted crane.
