April 2023- Comau has developed a mobile manipulator which is being applied within 3 different EU projects. The mobile robotic arm of the company includes a robotic arm that is mounted on the autonomous mobile platform. This system is integrated with the company’s Racer 5 collaborative robot, the 6-axis articulated robotic arm which can function at speeds of about 6m/s when the human operator is not present. The AGV in the system is equipped with 2 independent batteries which power it and the robotic arm separately. This AGV may also be managed utilizing various forms of navigation modes & a standard Comau controller.
