October 2023 – A prominent autonomous retailer of tires and wheels, Discount Tire announced the retail tire and automotive maintenance operations of Dunn Tire in a deal that shut on September 30, 2023. In addition to alignments, tire sales, and tire-related services, Dunn Tire offers deployments and parts for lube brakes, & oil services, state vehicle inspections, and front-end repairs at 25 locations in western and central New York and Pennsylvania. The acquirement develops Discount Tire's commitment to offering inviting, easy, and safe automotive services to retail customers, B2B customers, online shoppers, and fleet customers. Discount Tire, which was commenced by Bruce T. Halle in 1960, is the biggest family-owned tire retail business in the U.S., running more than 1,150 stores. Christian Roe, the Discount Tire Chief Revenue Officer, said that the company is happy to collaborate with Randy and Robert Clark to get Dunn Tire into the company's portfolio as it enters the next phase of the company's development.
