September 2023- JHM Consolidation Bhd, a leading Automotive lighting product manufacturer, strategizes to collaborate with its Chinese counterpart Jiangsu Dekai Auto Parts Co Ltd (DEKAI) to sell automotive lighting products in Malaysia and other Southeast Asian nations. In a filing with Bursa Malaysia on October 4th, the organization stated it has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with DEKAI to note the objective of the two companies to form a joint venture (JV) company called JHM DEKAI Auto Lighting Sdn Bhd, which will manufacture, design, market and sell automotive lighting products here and in other Southeast Asian nations.

JHM will command a 55% stake in JHM DEKAI Auto Lighting and the rest 45% by DEKAI. As per the company statement, There is no contract value said as the MOU marks the target of the parties to form a JV. DEKAI is basically a producer of automotive lighting products providing services such as complete lamp testing, full lamp assembly, injection molding, and design & engineering for original equipment manufacturing (OEM) customers. The company is one of China's Tier 1 players, with the ability to switch from design to prototype and into bulk manufacture of complete rear, interior, and head lighting. JHM, in a press release, said that both companies will partner closely to leverage their knowledge, strengths, and resources in the automotive lighting products industry to gain substantial market portions in Malaysia and Southeast Asian nations, grow worldwide, and guarantee the success of the JV.
