Orenda Technologies, a native manufacturer of environmentally friendly specialty pool chemicals, was purchased by Hasa, a US distributor and manufacturer of water treatment products. Hasa plans to broaden its product line to include these professional-grade specialty items, which the swimming pool and spa industry is beginning to acknowledge as essential to preserving clear, safe, and clean water. Pool experts and owners of residential and commercial pools will benefit greatly from Hasa's skills and resources as well as those of Orenda's excellent staff and market-facing partners.
This is Hasa's first purchase since Wind Point Partners purchased it from GHK Capital in January 2023. The US-based private equity group continued by saying that its goals are to boost Hasa's robust organic growth and pursue strategic M&A to broaden the company's product and geographic offerings.
Serving California, Arizona, Washington, Texas, Oregon, Nevada, Utah, Idaho, and Oklahoma, Hasa runs seven production facilities.

WaterGuru has launched a new commercial division that will sell the company's SENSE Series 2 smart pool monitor directly to hotel, resort and property management companies, apartment and condominium HOAs, country clubs, pool builders and pool service companies. WaterGuru is the market leader in enabling swimming pool owners to achieve resort-quality swimming water conditions.
The second iteration of WaterGuru's SENSE smart pool monitor, the Series 2, was just released. It increases the number of pool water chemistry parameters tested from two (pH and chlorine) to five (pH, alkalinity, calcium hardness, CYA, and chlorine). It also keeps track of and reports on the water flow and temperature in pools.
