Soil Stabilization Market Outlook
Ethos Elite LFR insecticide/biofungicide, a new crop protection product from FMC, was introduced in 2023 and will be available in the United States in 2024. This product provides a broad range of control against early-season illnesses and soilborne pests by combining two FMC-proprietary biological strains, Bacillus velezensis strain RTI301 and Bacillus subtilis strain RTI477, with bifenthrin, a pyrethroid insecticide that has been proven and tested in studies.
The new Wirtgen WRC 240(i) Rock Crusher, which will be available in 2023, breaks up coarse rocks in situ, such as those found in rocky soils or hand-packed pavement layers (like Telford bases), and creates a homogenous mix continuously. An output of up to 600 tonnes/h is made possible by its working width of 2,320mm and working depth of up to 510mm. The wheeled soil stabiliser line from Wirtgen is now enhanced with the WRC 240(i), which is specifically made for processing difficult ground. The machine can crush pebbles and stones with edges up to 300 mm in length and 200 MPa in compressive strength. It may also add cement and water in the same pass, for example, while preparing foundation layers.
Caterpillar has introduced its two most potent reclaimer-stabilizers for soil stabilisation and full-depth road reclamation in 2023. To stabilise roadways, the RM600 and RM800 may blend pulverised asphalt layers with underlying bases. They may also include additional binding agents or asphalt emulsions. The machines have respective weights of 79,397 and 75,722 pounds. Their engines are Cat C18 turbocharged, with the RM600 clocked at 636.
