A major international provider of specialty materials, Solvay, has declared that it would attend Semicon Taiwan 2023 to exhibit its extensive materials portfolio for the local and international semiconductor manufacturing industries. Numerous material solutions with a high level of sustainability will also be shown by Solvay. Aiming for ambitious environmental goals, new bio-based polymer chemistry is used.
In applications involving wet processes, Halar ECTFE grades offer a more environmentally friendly substitute for PFA and PTFE. A special mix of qualities makes Halar ECTFE, a semi-crystalline polymer that is partially fluorinated, ideal for businesses with high standards. It is frequently used as a lining in pipelines or other self-supporting constructions to prevent corrosion. Halar ECTFE is a top choice for applications involving wire and cable due to its superior fire resistance and chemical resistance qualities. Purity, surface smoothness, chemical resistance, and fire resistance are offered by Halar ECTFE, which are essential qualities in the semiconductor and photovoltaic markets.

For its 252P laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) technology, Farsoon has announced the creation of an ultra-temperature configuration.Â
The improved 8-zone temperature shielding of the UT252P system allows it to process high-temperature, high-performance engineering materials like PTFE, PA6, PA66, PPS, PAEK, and PI for end-use applications. A 100W CO2 laser and a versatile build envelope of 250 mm x 250 mm x 320 mm are included in it. According to Farsoon, these features will create a wealth of new high-temperature application possibilities in fields including material engineering, medicine, aerospace, and more.
November 2022:Â Gujarat Fluorochemicals Limited (GFL) reported successfully applying non-fluorinated polymerization aid (NFPA) technology to make PTFE fine powder and PFA. The company will be able to create its full fluoropolymer range without the need for fluorinated polymerization aids due to this advancement.
June 2022: Donaldson bought Purilogics LLC for an initial payment of roughly $20 million and a five-year milestone-based earnout payment. Donaldson hopes to improve its life sciences portfolio by utilizing Purilogics' distinct product offerings through this acquisition. Donaldson's experience in PTFE membrane technology, its  footprint, and Purilogics' knowledge of membrane chromatography technologies make it easier to develop and commercialize biologics purification solutions.
Major players in the PTFE membrane market, including Donaldson Company, Inc, Corning Incorporated, Porex Corporation, Cytiva, and others, are attempting to increase market demand by investing in research and development operations.
