April 2023: Neuspera® Medical, a medical device business focused on the development of implanted devices for individuals with chronic conditions, has recently disclosed the attainment of approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the advanced Neuspera ultra-miniaturized system. The system consists of a micro-implant that administers neurostimulation treatment via a wireless platform, which includes a wearable transmitter and an iPad-based clinician programmer.  The Neuspera system offers a wireless and adaptable platform for delivering peripheral nerve stimulation (PNS), which is less invasive compared to existing commercially available technologies. This PNS device represents a significant advancement as it introduces an ultra-miniaturized alternative, potentially enhancing the patient's experience and providing increased procedural adaptability. The device in question is approximately 75 times smaller than the smallest implanted pulse generator now available in the commercial market.

January 2023: NeuroMetrix, a prominent manufacturer of medical devices, commenced the release of DPNCheck 2.0. The focal point of the DPNCheck system revolves around a portable device that is outfitted with biosensors. These biosensors are utilized to detect indications of peripheral neuropathy, a prevalent medical condition characterized by nerve impairment. The resulting symptoms of this condition are typically localized in the extremities, specifically the hands and feet, and encompass weakness, numbness, pain, and a tingling sensation. The functionality of the device is based on the assessment of nerve conduction velocity and response amplitude in the sural nerve located in the lower leg. These specific variables have been recognized as reliable biomarkers for the disease.List of Peripheral Neuropathy Treatment Key companies in the market
