October 2023- DeepOcean, the Ocean services supplier, has efficiently concluded a significant decommissioning development on Fairfield Energy's Dunlin Alpha stage on the UK Continental Shelf. As a fraction of its future, DeepOcean, a renowned subsea professional eradicated four vertical supports and six subsea conductors at different water depths and eliminated the upper conductor guide frames with a projected weight of 400 tonnes, along with the design and deployment of bespoke clamps. The UK Commercial Manager and Legal Counsel at DeepOcean, Gary Scott, said that the project needed severe dynamic and structural examination to allow the elimination of the upper conductor guide frames. The extent also needed substantial narrow water ROV operations for the extraction of the upper guide frame and conductors. With high-end subsea engineering included, along with expert subsea tools and technologies needed to implement the project, coupled with the company's care for superior quality and secured project delivery, they would categorise it as a flagship plan for DeepOcean.
July 2023- McDermott recently announced that it has received an engineering, removal, and procurement deal from Woodside Energy for offshore decommissioning plant. The reward was offered to McDermott for the complete extraction of the Stybarrow DTM buoy as a fraction of the decommissioning of the Stybarrow arena in the northwest Cape of Western Australia. As per the contract scope, McDermott will offer engineering services and project management to recover, offload, and transport the DTM buoy to a right onshore yard provision for dismantlement and clearance. The McDermott's Senior Vice President, Subsea and Floating Facilities, Mahesh Swaminathan said that with company’s effortless incorporation of design, manufacture, and offshore mobilization specialization, they think they are highly equipped to perform the plan effectively and reliably, guaranteeing the secure rescue and extraction of the Stybarrow DTM buoy. McDermott's Perth-headquartered team is set to supervise project management, whereas design and manufacturing help will be offered by the team in Batam, Indonesia and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The DTM buoy will be picked up and extracted with the help of McDermott's DLV2000 vessel, guaranteeing secured and effective operations throughout the decommissioning procedure.
