Nylon Cable Ties Market
November 2023- Aimed at professional installers, these Zip-Tite nylon ties eliminate the final step of the securing process. The installer does not need to use nippers to trim the tails. Instead, simply twisting the tail breaks it off at the nearest serration, leaving a clean—and non-sharp—edge. For the electrician forming dozens to hundreds of tie-offs a day, the time savings can be significant. They no longer must reach for the nipper in the holster each time or awkwardly hang onto the nipper throughout the tie-off process. The manufacturer, Iowa-based tool company Tite-Reach, writes that despite this unique design, their cable ties have the same tensile strength as standard cable ties, providing a reliable and secure hold.
October 2023- The Environmental Protection Agencyhas announced the 25 recipients of over USD73 million in grants as part of the Solid Waste Infrastructure for Recycling program. The program is funded by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act of 2021. The recycling awards for societies will fund the development of waste management systems across the nation and will vary from USD500,000 to USD 4 million per grant. A few assignments have purchased new fleets of recycling collection vehicles and bins to offer curbside recycling services for societies presently missing access; updates to material recovery facilities to lower impurities, developments to composting and organics programs and infrastructure; and development of different kinds of plants that enhance recycling, reuse, and composting infrastructure for materials such as plastics and food waste. The agency is also awarding another USD32 million to 56 states and territories to improve solid waste management planning, data collection, and implementation of plans.
