Recent News

In Nov 2023, DuPont International launched new membrane elements called the DuPont™ FilmTec™ Fortilife™ NF1000 in the global market. These Nanofiltration elements are highly productive and can be used to increase wastewater reuse and resource recovery in difficult applications.

DuPont International released FilmTec™ LiNE-XD nanofiltration membrane elements for lithium brine purification in July 2023. This is also Dupont’s first-ever product offer for purifying lithium brine, which has such high selectivity towards magnesium or other divalent metals when compared with traditional ones like chloride-rich Li-brine streams. This move by Dupont has helped them grow their range of offerings available to consumers on an international scale as well as locally within different countries around the world.

In June 2023 there was a publication of “Recent Developments within Membranes for Heavy Metal Removal from Wastewater via Nanofiltration.” The paper highlights that nanofiltration (NF) membranes are currently being used as one of the most efficient methods of removing heavy metal ions from wastewater due to their ability to work well under different conditions, flexibly priced designs, etc.

Toray Industries, Inc unveiled a new Nanofiltration membrane that can recover lithium from used automotive lithium-ion batteries back in August 2022. Toray will evaluate recovery using actual lithium-ion batteries and expedite research & development towards commercialization. This innovation adds to Toray’s growing portfolio of products.

In June 2022, Envirogen selected NX Filtration for delivery of its direct nanofiltration (dNF) membranes that will be used in an industrial water recycling project.

Then, in April 2022 Cross Textiles selected NX Filtration for the delivery of its direct nanofiltration (dNF) membranes that are to be used in wastewater treatment.
