  June 2023: Clinicians, patients, and locals in the Sussex region will benefit from a unified laboratory information management system (LIMS) thanks to Clinisys' selection as the network's LIMS provider. There are now four active LIMS systems in use throughout the network's three trusts and seven laboratories; two of these systems have reached the end of their useful lifespans. These will be replaced with a single, hosted instance of Clinisys' WinPath Enterprise. Important components of healthcare, such as diagnosis, treatment decisions, blood transfusions, and trauma care, rely on the laboratories' capacity to continue providing a full spectrum of pathology services. So that physicians and patients receive the same service regardless of where they are located, an implementation team will work with laboratory and IT personnel to ensure that the new LIMS supports consistent, efficient, and high-quality operations.

  December 2022: U.S.-based laboratory information system developer Diagnostic Systems Consulting, LLC will sell its flagship product, Medicus Laboratory Information Systems (Medicus), to healthcare industry powerhouse CompuGroup Medical US (CGM) in December 2022. For over 15 years, Medicus has been a go-to for laboratory management software and middleware, as well as consulting services for labs all around the United States. More than one thousand labs around the country are using the Medicus Laboratory Information System (LIS). With this agreement, CGM now provides services to more small and medium-sized laboratories than any other firm in the United States. In addition, Medicus clients will benefit from having access to the full suite of CompuGroup Medical's revenue cycle management products and technology.
