The newest Kirby plant, a pre-engineered steel manufacturing facility in Halol, Gujarat, was recently inaugurated by Kirby Building Systems India. The most recent addition is the third Kirby Building Systems facility in India and the company's seventh worldwide.Â
The new Gujarat facility increases the 200,000 metric tonne capacity of the Hyderabad and Haridwar plants by starting with a production capacity of 50,000 metric tonnes per year that can be increased to 100,000 metric tonnes.
The new factory boasts a number of environmentally friendly features, including solar-powered LED lighting, roofing with a high solar reflectivity index, maintaining the company's eco-friendly operations, and high air changes that preserve the welfare of employees.
This need for further new development may be attributed to an increase in population and urbanization, which is a key factor in the expansion of the pre-engineered buildings market. As per the report put out by United Nations World Population Prospects, the overall population is estimated to be around 8.1 billion by the year 2024, from 7.9 billion in the year 2023. This expansion calls for extensive construction development of infrastructure, including housing, commercial, and industrial structures. As well as the Urban Development Report of the World Bank notes that in 2023, the growth rate of the world's urban dweller increased to 2.3% from 2.1% in 2022, which created stress for the availability of housing, health care and other social amenities.
