  June 2023: Halo-Lido (CITI-002) is a topical formulation developed by Citius Pharmaceuticals, Inc. for the treatment of hemorrhoid pain and bleeding.  The goals of this study were to (1) evaluate the effectiveness of the combo product, (2) determine the optimal dose and endpoints for a Phase 3 trial, and (3) verify the reliability of the PRO.  Patients reported a significant improvement in their symptoms after using the high dosage formulation of CITI-002, a mixture of lidocaine and halobetasol propionate. In addition, CITI-002 was well tolerated by research participants and no serious side events were noted.  Planning for the next steps in the regulatory and clinical development program for CITI-002 will begin with a meeting between Citius and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) after the conclusion of Phase 2.
