October 2023- With a funding of more than 140 million euros, Air Liquide discloses that it will be settled in Bécancour, Québec (Canada), a significant programme bidding low-carbon industrial gases such as nitrogen, hydrogen, argon, and oxygen. Along with the Group's 20 MW PEM electrolyzer, which presents the world's biggest in operation, the infrastructure produced by Air Liquide will include a new air separation unit generating renewable oxygen and nitrogen and liquid storage capacity, linked by a domestic pipeline network to serve its customers best. The latest low-carbon production platform, aligned with the industrial and port zone's drive to decarbonize, makes Bécancour an extraordinary spot for the Group to manufacture renewable industrial gases and build offers for customers engaged in the energy transition. Air Liquide will develop, retain, and operate a manufacturing and distribution infrastructure, such as a new air separation unit (ASU) producing oxygen, argon, and nitrogen, as well as a liquid storage capacity.Â
October 2023- Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding christened its latest ship Tuesday. It is designed to transport large quantities of liquid natural gas. The "clean Everglades" barge will hold more than 5,500 cubic meters of liquid natural gas. It's made as part of a fleet of ships operated by LNG. It will give the U.S. the ability to expand its business to the Gulf of Mexico. Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding says the demand for liquid natural gas barges is growing rapidly as the industry advances its sustainability goals to meet reduced emissions standards.
