Dioctyl Terephthalate Market
July 2023- An agreement between Sohar Freezone and Nasir Chemicals to establish a Dioctyl Phthalate and Dioctyl Terephthalate, aimed at catering to the growing demand for high-quality chemical products in the GCC, India, and African markets, is expected to have positive implications for the Omani port's cargo volumes. Representing a total investment of US$ 10.4 million, the plant will cover an area of 5,000 m2 and will have a production capacity of 30,000 tons a year. According to a statement, the plan will significantly boost local logistics activities and will increase container throughput by around 2000 TEU annually.
October 2023- Vikas Ecotech Limited announced that the company has acquired 100 percent equity in an existing Plasticizer Manufacturing Business valued at an enterprise value of ~Rs 270 Million in an all-cash deal. The product offering of the acquired Plasticizer Manufacturing Business perfectly complements and enhances the company's existing product basket.
