Daicel Chiral Technologies has announced the release of CHIRALPAK® IM-3, the 3µm version of the 5µm CHIRALPAK IM, which was first offered in November 2022. The range of mobile phase combinations available for method development is increased by the increased robustness of this new immobilized selector compared to traditional coated technology. The smaller 3µm particle size offers better resolution and peak shape and is specially tailored for analytical and SFC applications. Particle sizes of 3 and 5 microns are currently offered by CHIRALPAK® IM; 10 and 20 microns will be available soon.
Leading the world in enantioselective chromatography, Chiral Technologies Inc. provides the broadest range of chiral stationary phases (CSPs) and analytical and preparative chiral columns for the separation of racemic mixtures into single enantiomers. It also serves the pharmaceutical and other life science industries.

CABBI has developed environmentally friendly enzymes to produce basic chemical building blocks. The novel photo enzymatic system advances biomanufacturing and solves a long-standing chemistry puzzle by efficiently producing chiral amines.
Scientists have solved a long-standing issue in synthetic chemistry by using this photo enzymatic process to produce chiral amines, which are vital chemical building blocks. The process is clean and efficient. Their studies focused on the complex chemical process of hydroamination, which produces chiral amines, which are widely used in the manufacture of other products and agrochemicals.
Researchers at CABBI have found that the unsaturated compounds utilized in this study can be easily transformed from the fatty acids they extract from plant biomass, opening the possibility of upgrading these compounds into chiral amines.
