August 2023: Avista Technologies, Inc. now offers new AvistaClean™ cleaners designed for effective and economical removal of common fouling observed in MF/UF membrane systems. The membrane treatment industry relies on generic chemicals, such as citric acid, sodium hypochlorite, and caustic for MF/UF hollow-fiber systems that over time create two problems: they fail to recover the desired transmembrane pressures (TMP) which lead to an increase in cleaning frequency and/or the membranes stop working due to age and require replacement as they are no longer responding to generic chemicals.
