July 2023- Highly skilled soldiers are sharpening their capabilities during real-world chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) exercises at Operation Precise Reaction on the Canadian Forces Base Suffield in Alberta, Canada. Because of the proficiency of its staff, its specialized facilities, its live agent setting and secluded area, the Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) Suffield Research Centre in Suffield, Alberta, provides NATO with an unmatched capacity to enable realistic CBRN training on an international scale and boost CBRN readiness among coalition forces.
May 2023- A public event was organized in Pune lately by the Ministry of Defence to raise awareness about safety measures and protection related to Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear hazards. This exhibition commemorated the 25th anniversary of Pokhran Nuclear Test-II. Different CBRN protective gear, decontamination mechanisms, and emergency protection and rescue demonstrations by the National Disaster Response Force were displayed at the event. The Ministry of Defence, through the Director General of Quality Assurance, has assigned the Pune-based NBC Equipment Wing the responsibility of coordinating the celebratory events across all DGQA organizations in India. With a pledge to innovation, Saint-Gobain Aerospace will continuously enhance the performance of the windows over the partnership. January 2023- Members of the 229th Chemical Company, 1030th Transportation Battalion, 329th Regional Support Group of the Virginia National Guard participated in an exchange program on chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive defence with the Committee of Emergency Services of Tajikistan. The Virginia Guard shared knowledge, effective methods and past experiences with their partners in Tajikistan. The program centred on exchanging techniques related to CBRN monitoring, collecting samples, containment, and decontamination that are relevant for CBRN defence. The week finished with practice drills for decontaminating ambulatory and non-ambulatory patients.
