Now, with the official introduction of dual chamber leadless pacing, the annals of technological advancements in modern medicine that have fundamentally altered the way physicians treat patients are complete. By introducing a genuine dual chamber leadless pacemaker system, Abbott is granting an unprecedented number of individuals access to the advantages of leadless pacing and enhancing our capacity to treat patients with irregular or sluggish cardiac rhythms.

    • May 2023: MicroPort, a multinational corporation specializing in cardiac rhythm management, disclosed that it has obtained approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its most recent line of implantable pacemakers, Alizea and Celea, which are the most durable pacemakers currently available in relation to their size. Additionally, the FDA has granted approval for SmartTouch XT, a tablet-based programmer, SmartView Connect bluetooth home monitor, and Vega pacing leads. Alizea and Cele are equipped with the AutoMRI mode, a MicroPort-developed algorithm that enhances the well-being and security of patients undergoing an MRI procedure. To activate the MRI mode, patients need only consult their cardiologist once within ten days prior to the procedure.
