Boxboard Packaging Industry Developments


April 2022: The Burgo Group and Mondi plc have agreed to a price of EUR 40 million (USD 40.815 million) for the sale of the Duino mill in Trieste, Italy. A single paper machine that creates thin-coated mechanical paper is presently in operation at the plant. In order to convert this paper factory to create 420,000 tones of premium recycled containerboard yearly, Mondi plans to invest roughly EUR 200 million (USD 204.076 million).
