    January 2024: MediaTek and Sensory announce a collaboration to introduce cutting-edge speech AI technology into automobiles. Initially aimed at improving in-car speech technology, the partnership is poised to revolutionize the driving experience.     March 2024: For the supply of Infineon’s AURIX TC3x 40 nanometer automotive microcontrollers GlobalFoundries and Infineon Technologies have announced a new multi-year agreement. The extra capacity will help ensure Infineons business expansion between 2024 and 2030. A highly dependable embedded non-volatile memory (eNVM) technology solution that satisfies the strict safety and security requirements for next-generation vehicle systems and is ideal for enabling mission-critical automotive applications is at the heart of this partnership.

    October 2024: With the R-Car V4M and V4H Renesas unveiled new automotive system-on-chips (SoCs) aimed at automated driving (AD) and advanced driver-assistance (ADAS) L2 L2+ and L3. With the addition of the V4H-3 and V4H-5 to the current V4H-7 the V4M is a new series that evolved from previous platforms. While the V4M handles less expensive L2 and L2+ ADAS applications, the V4H supports ADAS L2+ and L3. Pin and code compatibility are shared by the two SoC lines.

    For high-speed processing and reliable image recognition the V4M processors can produce up to 17 TOPS while the V4H processor can produce up to 34 TOPS from multiple Arm Cortex A76 cores.
