Dentsply Sirona holds a strong hand on deal renewals: The company which is based in New York (US) has recently announced the renewal of an existing distribution contract with Henry Schein Canada, Inc. This deal will continue until December 31, 2020. This contract extension is a clever move by Dentsply Sirona as the prior agreement did not include the CEREC CAD/CAM restoration system and the Schick line of imaging sensors. By including the above-mentioned lines of products, the company will take advantage from Henry Schein's distribution network in Canada and further strengthen their market share.

Further, Align Technology one of the major players, which markets and manufactures system of clear aligner therapy, CAD/CAM (computer-aided design and manufacturing) and intra-oral scanners digital services used in dentistry, dental records storage and orthodontics has been working hard to increase workflow preferences of iTero scanners, in this situation, Align Technology has signed an agreement in August with Patterson dental a business unit of Patterson Companies Inc. from which  Align Technology will benefit from its strong distribution network.  Moreover the company has further collaboration with Exocad GmbH a company which is involved in development of CAD/CAM software, by this collaboration Align Technology will use the chairside CAD software to be particularly incorporated into Align's iTero Element intraoral scanner, with this the software will support same day dentistry through the iTero Element scanner, this integrated system is expected to be marketed by Align Technology by 2018.
