    November 2023- Trimble and Meta are bringing 3D models to life through Virtual Reality (VR) using SketchUp. On September 27, 2023, the two companies revealed their partnership and launched the immersive and powerful application to view and showcase models in a way that transforms the future of design. SketchUp Viewer for Meta Quest VR headsets aims to provide professionals in interior design, architecture, engineering, and construction with an innovative and interactive tool for reviews and teamwork. The app allows them to experience and present designs in a novel manner.


    November 2023- In an attempt to rejoin the Chinese market, Meta Platforms has supposedly come to an initial agreement with Tencent Holdings to launch a new, affordable virtual reality (VR) headset in China, where Facebook and Instagram continue to be prohibited. This news was revealed on Thursday, November 9, 2023. The VR partnership gives Meta a chance to reestablish its foothold in the Chinese market and take on Bytedance, the owner of TikTok, which already manufactures the Pico VR headset. The VR deal indicates Meta's tactical maneuver to navigate China's regulatory environment and participate in rivalry with domestic tech firms, potentially marking a comeback to a market with huge growth opportunities.


    October 2023- The tech company Meta has unveiled the latest virtual reality headset called 'Meta Quest 3', priced at Rs 41,552 for the 128GB variant and Rs 52,042 for the 512GB variant in India. The device will be available for purchase from October 10, but pre-orders can be placed now. A key feature of the Meta Quest 3 is that users can toggle between a fully immersive virtual environment or a mixed reality view that overlays digital elements on the real physical setting, simply by double-tapping the side of the headset.
