August 2023- NEC Corporation India has partnered with Mowasalat to integrate intelligent transportation management solutions for tournament bus services in Qatar. The ITMS system, installed in 3000 buses, including 800 electric buses, links millions of fans to the eight stadiums across the country. Through this project, they seek to enable operators and travellers to be better informed and utilize transport networks more safely and intelligently.
August 2023- NEC India has been chosen to implement Uttar Pradesh's smart transportation project. The project aims to improve bus safety and the passenger experience through AIS 140-compliant VLT devices, emergency buttons, and real-time tracking. It will include a state-of-the-art command and control center solution as well as a cloud platform for software applications. These will enable route management, fleet monitoring, and passenger information via a mobile app. Pankaj Bhatia, NEC India's General Manager for the Transportation Business, wants to make India's transportation systems more secure and smarter using advanced technologies.
