    • June 2023: Novo Nordisk stated that it has gone into exclusive discussions to acquire a majority share in Biocorp, a company that manufactures devices used in the administration of drugs. Biocorp is a French company that designs, develops, and produces medical equipment and delivery systems. Mallya, a Bluetooth-enabled smart accessory for pen injectors, is one of its products. Mallya is a linked smart sensor that may be attached directly to insulin pen injectors. It automatically records vital treatment data and sends it to a specialized app in digital form. The information contains the number of units of insulin, the time, and the date of each injection. In December of 2022, the FDA approved Mallya for use.




    • Marh 2023: DBL-4pen is Diabeloop's self-learning algorithm for MDI therapy, and the two companies agreed to collaborate in March 2023 to integrate it into Novo Nordisk's NovoPen 6 and NovoPen Echo Plus with DBL-4pen. DBL-4pen is a self-learning basal and bolus suggestion program that helps people with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes who use MDI. The NovoPen 6 and the NovoPen Echo Plus both include a digital display and a built-in dose memory capability that keeps track of the amount and timing of the past 800 insulin doses.




    • November 2022: The Tempo Personalized Diabetes Management Platform was introduced by Eli Lilly & Company in the United States in November 2022. This technology was developed to help people with diabetes manage their treatment using Lilly insulins, whether they are type 1 or type 2. Individuals with diabetes can receive tailored guidance from the platform by utilizing the Tempo Smart Button, the TempoSmart app, and the Tempo Pen. This software was developed in tandem with Welldoc and is a private label version of their BlueStar diabetes management app, which is used to track insulin doses with the Tempo Smart Button.
