Clariant will debut AddWorks IBC 760 at the ECS, addressing the growing regulatory changes in light and heat stabilization for SMP (silyl modified polymer) sealants. Comparing this label-free solution to standard solutions that are marked as hazardous, the former performs better in terms of heat and light stability.

The silyl modified polymers (SMP) sealants industry is under pressure to create new solutions for pigmented and clear systems due to the growing emphasis on sustainability and the requirement to enhance the labeling profile while also keeping up with current market trends.

Customers now have an additive solution that addresses these issues and improves SMP sealant performance thanks to the new AddWorks IBC 760. It has a global registration status and no hazard label. With no hazard labeling, AddWorks IBC 760 is a blend of an antioxidant, a UV absorber, and a hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS) that is intended to offer exceptional light as well as heat stabilization in SMP sealants.
