Beyond its standard supplement formats of tablets and capsules, Australian nutraceutical company Renovatio is starting to add its patented activated phenolic antioxidants to pantry foods.
Recently released in 500 ml bottles, Renovatio's functional apple cider vinegar is available in 1,065 stores throughout Australia, with Woolworths supermarkets being one of the main retailers. First, as a liquid-formed product, and second, by positioning Renovatio in a new aisle or category within the supermarket, the product represented several firsts for its portfolio.
Subsequently, the research team carried out several experiments on their own to integrate their patented technology into various sauces, including salad dressing, tomato ketchup, and sweet chili, but ultimately, they settled on apple cider vinegar. They discovered that because apple cider vinegar is "a very high-potency antioxidant because of the high absorption or bioavailability," their activated phenolics were able to enhance the benefits of the product.
Apple cider vinegar contains pre- and probiotic content that supports digestive health, aids in weight loss, and addresses problematic skin issues, in addition to the anti-inflammatory properties of activated phenolics. Â

Renovatio Bioscience has secured a contract worth more than $5 million with retailer Coles Group, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the Australian business journey for the scientist, who was born in Indonesia and whose PhD at the University of Newcastle unlocked the secret to extracting potent antioxidants from apples known as "activated phenolic."
This expands on Renovatio's current agreements with Woolworths Group (ASX: WOW) and Mr. Vitamins as stockists for its health and wellness product line, in addition to Asian exports.
