DCU has recently introduced a new Master of Science degree program in Natural Language Processing (NLP). This is the first master's level program in Ireland that focuses specifically on NLP. The new degree was created by leading academics in the field, under the direction of Professor Anya Belz, a renowned expert in NLP. Students will attend the full-time, on-campus program through DCU's School of Computing, which is part of the Faculty of Engineering and Computing. The goal of DCU's MSc in NLP is to teach students how to develop computer systems capable of understanding & generating natural language text. Graduates will gain skills applicable to systems like ChatGPT, LaMDA, and BARD, which can process and produce human-like text.
