Latest Company Updates:
October 2023- As part of the company's ongoing commitment to support distributors and dealers in the outdoor power equipment industry, Oregon Tool, Inc. is adding over 700 SKUs to its already broad portfolio of lawn garden and forestry parts. The president of Forestry and Lawn & Garden, Jason Landmark, said that with the outdoor power equipment industry continuing to evolve and new product applications and technologies being introduced to the market, we must ensure our product portfolio is reflective of industry trends, geographic nuances, customer needs, and end-user expectations. The company is making investments that will enable its customers to drive future growth. The additional SKUs, available starting this year and into the first quarter of 2024, will result in an 85% increase in Oregon Tool's belt assortment, with notable increases in blades, tire tubes, and other maintenance and repair parts. These new SKUs, along with a deep assortment of other forestry and lawn and garden parts, are available to dealers through their designated Oregon distributor. Distributors, dealers, and original equipment manufacturers can see many of these new SKUs at this year's 40th annual Equip Exposition in booth #3164.
September 2023- The Butte County Air Quality Management District is starting a program to assist local businesses, public agencies, landscapers, and non-profits in replacing their gas-powered lawn and gardening equipment with electric. This comes after a 2022 California law that will ban gas-powered lawn equipment, including lawnmowers, leaf blowers, and more. A commercial gas-powered lawn mower run for one hour emits the same level of smog pollution that a gas car driving 300 miles would produce. In addition, a commercial leaf blower used for one hour will emit smog pollution equivalent to a gas car driving 1,100 miles.
