At in-cosmetics Global, Sun Chemicals introduced its SunPrizma colour-travel line and metallic silver Reflecks Dimensions Platinum G13CD. The firm also displayed its recently launched SunPuro Naturals line. On May 2 and 3, 2023, in New York City, two chromatic orange effect pigments will also be on display at the New York SCC Suppliers' Day.
Eleven pigments with a colour travel effect based on silica are available in the SunPRIZMA (INCI: Varies) line. The pigments are available in two particle size ranges and give exceptional coverage, multi-chrome effects, and sparkling colour travel for eye-catching dazzle finishes. The pigments, according to the manufacturer, give formulators the ability to produce chromatic colour shifts with unique effects in colour cosmetics.
Additionally, Reflecks Dimensions Platinum G13CD is a borosilicate-based silver, shimmering, metallic-like effect pigment. A unique process that embeds the absorption colourant into the coating layers produced the new product, which is a new addition to the line of pigments for the darkened effect. This apparently enables formulators to streamline product development and cut down on the time needed for commercialization.
March 2023
Merck, a renowned scientific and technological company, will display its most recent cosmetics innovations at the in-cosmetics trade show, which takes place in Barcelona, Spain, from March 28 to 30.
Merck will display its cutting-edge Ronaflux pigment range, which, among other things, offers vivid colour and powerful metallic visual effects that are entirely made possible without the use of metals. The Ronaflux pigments' technique is both complex and straightforward. A crucial prerequisite for exceptional shine effects is the homogenous precipitation of ultrathin and highly stable carbon layers onto the pigments in a gas phase.
DIC Corporation bought BASF’s global pigments division in June 2021.
Lanxess AG decided to expand its production capacity for synthetic iron oxide pigments at its Krefeld-Uerdingen site by over five thousand metric tons per annum with effect from November, 2020.
Icaro International also sells woven metallic wire mesh and synthetic mesh for various screen printing applications, including printed electronics, among others. Sun Chemical entered into a three-year agreement in September 2020 to sell its conductive and dielectric inks, as well as other electronic products, through Icaro International, who is its distributor in Mexico. The partnership is an opportunity for Sun Chemical to improve its visibility within Mexico's automotive, white goods, electronic assembly and biosensor markets with the assistance of a reputable associate.
