Hot Melt Adhesives Market
October 2023-Â Adhesive manufacturing company Pidilite Industries Ltd on Thursday said it will be manufacturing Germany-based Jowat's range of hot melts in India. The product will be manufactured in Pidilite's state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Vapi, Gujarat. The adhesive will be made under the brand name of Fevicol Jowat, the Mumbai headquartered company revealed. The collaboration with Jowat is another example of the same. With support from Jowat's team, we have now set up a best-in-class manufacturing and testing facility in Vapi, Gujarat, to manufacture hot melt adhesives in India.
April 2023-Â Dow and Avery Dennison have collaboratively built a sustainable new hot-melt label adhesive allowing polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PP) polyolefin film labels and polyolefin filmic labels to be automatically recycled together in one stream. It is believed to be the first of its kind across the label market worldwide, as per the company's press release. The statement further cleared that the adhesive has been approved by Recyclass for recycling in the HDPE colored stream - Class B. It provides brilliant performance in labels for chilled applications, but a typical hot melt lowers the usability of recycled PP/PE material. As this latest olefinic hot melt is built on the same chemistry as PP/PE packaging when it is blended with a polyolefin face stock, the label and packaging can be handled as a mono-material and recycled together.
