The glycolic acid business of The Chemours Company has been successfully acquired by PureTech Scientific LLC for a cash sum of $137 million. PureTech Scientific LLC is a pioneer in the global organic synthesis of ultra-high purity alpha hydroxy acids for the Life Sciences and Specialty Chemical sectors. Private equity firm Iron Path Capital focuses on investments in the healthcare and specialist industrial sectors, serving the lower middle class. PureTech Scientific was created and is supported by the company.

The Chemours Company's carve-out of Glycolic Acid checks all the boxes for Iron Path: a world-class team, a unique continuous-production manufacturing process, an excellent product, a stellar customer reputation, established distribution channels, state-of-the-art technology, and a wide range of end-use applications that are both environmentally friendly and effective.

The 1996-founded company Pacifica, known for its activism, has introduced a new range of skincare products that it claims will keep skin hydrated and radiant throughout the winter. 

Pacifica's 11% Glowphoria Complex, vitamin C, grape juice, pumpkin, and a little amount of niacinamide power the lightweight gel moisturizer Glow Baby Hydrodew Moisture Gel ($18), which supports the appearance of healthy skin.

 The $14 Glow Baby Super Lit Enzyme Scrub is a three-in-one exfoliation that works on the physical, chemical, and enzymatic levels to revitalize dry, parched skin. Fruit extracts, vitamin C, and glycolic acid are included to exfoliate the skin.

The $20 Glow Baby Super Lit SPF Lotion is a lightweight, broad-spectrum SPF 30 mineral sunscreen that is rich with antioxidants and adjusts to the skin instantaneously to prevent a white cast.

Major Glycolic Acid market players, including China Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec Corp) (China) and The Chemours (U.S.) CABB Group (Germany) Saanvi Corp (India) Water Chemical Co. Ltd. (China) Shandong Xinhua Pharmaceutical Co.Ltd (China) and others are attempting to increase market demand by funding R&D initiatives.
