October 2023- Jetson just announced the launch of its drone-like electric flying vehicle before and now the business has raised a USD15 million seed round to assist launch the Jetson One in 2024. The vehicle is an electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft that will charge USD98000 and will not need a pilot’s license to fly, as per the statement released by an investor and senior board adviser, Rikard Steiber. That’s still costly, but it’s another instance of science fiction —considerably from The Jetsons show in the 1960s — coming to life. Steiber further added that Humanity’s oldest dream has been to fly, and the company imagined about flying out and having superpowers and save the world.
The company had the Wright Brothers more than 100 years ago, and Leonard da Vinci and even the myth of Icarus. Other investors include rapper Will.i.am, who has bought the first Jetson One off the production range and board member Luca Spada. The financing further puts Jetson as a leader in the promising field of urban air mobility. This type of vehicle acts under a Class G license in unfettered air space. It is permitted to go no faster than 63 miles per hour and no greater than 1,500 feet off the ground, Steiber said. It has a flying time of nearly 20 minutes, which means it might be able to fly a range of 21 miles.
