Using ultrasonic waves, NovaSignal, a company founded in 2013, has created sensor technology that looks for blockages or other anomalies in the brain's blood flow that could indicate a stroke, traumatic brain injury, dementia, or other brain condition. The data is analyzed by NovaSignal's technological platform, which then quickly provides a diagnosis to doctors or other healthcare providers. The ability to recognize strokes is the most direct use.
