August 2023- Honeywell opened a 41,000-square foot facility in Gurugram that produces Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) systems to assist aircraft in landing safely even in poor weather. The company said in a statement that the facility will be important for airport operations, provided it meets extensive safety requirements and complies with regulations set by international aviation agencies. The AGL systems consist of ground-based lights and associated components that guide aircraft to land and taxi to their terminal in low visibility conditions.
June 2023- STG Aerospace has introduced the first item of its Universal Lighting Family: The Curve, an LED flexible light intended to give consistent lighting while having the capacity to adjust to various installations and uses in the aircraft cabin. The Curve can be utilized all through the plane, including in wet zones, to give vivified lighting inside a slimline, adaptable structure that can shape around bends.
May 2023- The Portuguese airline Azores Airlines is installing new mood lighting systems in the cabins of five of its Airbus A321 NEO planes (including the LR variants). The lighting cycles are intended to reflect the natural splendour of the Azores islands through shades of blue and green. Azores took advantage of the downturn in the industry to innovate and completely reinvent the passenger experience. STG is honoured to participate in this innovative process. The lighting scenes were jointly designed with Azores representatives onboard the first plane and at STG's facility in Wales. Azores Airlines has already installed the first liTeMood system, which is operational, and the rest of the fleet will follow.
