Vollmer now introduces the new Loroch Twin 860, following the introduction of two new circular saw blade grinding machines last year. With a small 2,000 by 1,250 by 1,980 mm footprint, the new grinding center combines two distinct grinding processes into one machine tool. It is a space-saving concept.
Vollmer provides the end user with a machine that can process both carbide tipped (TCT) saw blades for the wood, sawmill, and metal cutting industries, as well as HSS, saw blades, which are mainly used in the metal cutting sectors, with the new Loroch Twin 860 grinding center.
In addition to standard metal cutting circular saw blades, a wide variety of TCT blades can be processed with the addition of a fifth axis. The new Twin 860 machine grinds with the saw blade rotating, just like all Loroch machines do. The grinding process in each instance entails the saw blade rotating and the grinding head moving precisely and precisely under complete synchronization on both axes. Â
