January 2023: Intricon, a manufacturer and developer of medical devices powered by intelligent miniaturized electronics, established a Biosensors Center of Excellence (CoE) in January 2023. A vertically integrated business entity, the center is comprised of the organization's biosensor device expertise and capabilities. Its sole objective is to introduce biosensor devices to the medical market. This strategy is essential for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and startups, as developing medical biosensor devices differs significantly from developing consumer biosensor products. Intricon is a manufacturer and developer of wearable glucose monitoring devices and an early pioneer in the development of hearing aides. High-density microelectronics, miniaturization, ultra-low power, miniature molding, firmware development, and wireless communication, including Bluetooth and Bluetooth Low Energy technology, are areas in which the Intricon Biosensor CoE team specializes. Intricon intends to augment its group of biosensors specialists.
