On January 8, Circular Action Alliance (CAA) was announced as the producer responsibility organization (PRO) by the California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle). This group also serves as the PRO in Colorado and is part of an EPR study in Maryland. It intends to submit a plan to Oregon, too. CAA will function as the PRO, and it will be mandated to develop and submit a producer responsibility plan, source reduction plan, annual budget, and annual reports to CalRecycle, as well as data submissions and fee setting for participating producers.
