AI to Replace Human Roles in the Workplaces

By Shubhendra Anand , 22 October, 2024

Artificial intelligence drives the growth of the tech industry rapidly. It aims to create several initiatives in different sectors and the tech industry. A survey in 2024 suggests that artificial intelligence can soon replace human mentors. Artificial intelligence is widely used in workplaces to increase work efficiency. Hence, artificial intelligence proves its management skills. Therefore, experts believe artificial intelligence can benefit managers and bosses.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a common factor leveraging businesses and different services nowadays. In the era of advancing technologies, companies are bound to integrate artificial intelligence in their work sector. There are several benefits that AI can offer if it serves as a manager in the workplace. Based on a survey, AI can supervise things efficiently without biases and emotions. This indicates that artificial intelligence may consider work the only condition upon which a team member must be judged. The survey shows that 28.2 percent of the workers in the United States believe an AI-run robot boss can make less biased decisions.

Further, it can result in 28.8 percent less discrimination in the workplace. However, there is another reason that states AI cannot fully replace human roles in the workplace. Some experts argue that artificial intelligence excels in data analysis, task recording, project management, and the like. However, certain aspects are needed to replace the human boss, such as strategic decision-making, leadership, creative problem-solving, and others. Conversely, AI can deal with all these according to the provided data, but this data can be altered.

A study shows that 80 percent of employees are not ready to integrate AI entirely in human roles. Additionally, another 40 percent of working professionals do not support the idea of human bosses. However, some sectors support the incorporation of AI into leadership roles in 2024. It accounts for 30 percent of the workers in the United Kingdom. Hence, different industries have different viewpoints regarding AI as human leaders in companies.
